WordPress Website Speed Optimization

How do I optimize images for faster loading?

Here are a few suggestions for you to make images on your website load faster: 1. Image Format: Use JPEGs for photos where small file size matters more than perfect quality. Use PNGs for graphics, icons, or images needing transparency and sharp detail, when image quality is more important. 2. Image size: Scale images to the exact size they will be displayed in the browser. Export images under a few hundred KB and at 72 dpi. 3. Image compression: Compress images to reduce file size without noticeably reducing quality. 4. Lazyload Images: Use loading="lazy" in <img> tags to delay loading offscreen images. 5. Cached images: Enable browser caching or use a CDN so images don’t reload on every visit. 6. Remove EXIF data: Remove unnecessary metadata to further reduce size. Images are just part of the problem if you have a slow site. To find out the root cause, head over to Fibr and carry out a free CRO audit, and you'll know what's slowing you down in minutes.
