How Do You Conduct A/B Testing for CRO?
What Is A/B Testing?
In A/B testing (or split testing), you compare two versions of a page to see which performs better.
Steps to Conduct A/B Testing for Conversion Rate Optimization
- Choose what to test. Select an element to compare, such as headlines, CTAs, images, or form lengths.
- Create a variation. Change one element at a time to isolate its impact.
- Split traffic. Show version A to half of visitors and version B to the other half.
- Track conversions. Use a tool like Fibr or Optimizely to measure results.
- Implement the winner. If version B outperforms version A, make the change permanent.
- Test continuously. A/B testing is an ongoing process, not a one-time activity.
